Saving account opened for women who started small business

In consultation with a local bank and the women who start small businesses with the support of EWEA, a saving account has been opened to encourage culture of saving among the women and to augment their business.

Start up capital provided for women

EWEA has provided start up capital for selected women after providing them with entrepreneurship skill training. The women were supported during the process of selecting and purchasing required materials and business sites. Continues monitoring and support will be given by EWEA monitoring staff to ensure that succeed in their business.

EWEA finalizes its 2nd round capacity building training for 30 women

EWEA has been providing entrepreneurship skill and motivation training for selected 30 women. The training was held for one week with the aim of getting the women ready for running small businesses in their neighbourhood. Participants have received their certificate of completion from the Chairperson of the Board during the closing ceremony.

EWEA Launches Free Counseling Services for Women

EWEA has launched free counseling services under its Psyco-Social support programme. The service is provided by Volunteer Counselors and Psychiatrists.

Ramadan Food Package Support

April 24, 2020 In collaboration with Volunteers, EWE has donated food package for the month of Ramadan for 60 needy families in Addis Ababa on As many families are left without income due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it is believed that the Ramadan food package programme will relieve supported families during the month.
